Save our Chimpanzees- Sanctuary

In literacy we have been learning about the impact that humans can have on wild animals. This week we have been learning and reading about Chimpanzees, these animals are extremely endangered. They  are getting hunted for meat, habitats are being destroyed and pet trade. A couple in Liberia have made it there mission to save the chimpanzees from pet trade. Our task was to create a Chimpanzee sanctuary on mine craft education, In my sanctuary  I have include climbing obstacles, places for Chimpanzees to sleep fruits, and lots of trees! This week was fun learning lot's about Chimpanzees, but it was also heart braking that where the problem Chimpanzees are dyeing. I got my information from two books on epic.com chimpanzees and endangered chimpanzees. We also watched snip-its of  a documentary called baby chimp rescue on TVNZ on Demand.

For literacy we have been learning about the Gallipoli war. Have you ever learnt about the Gallipoli war  before? For our create task we used a app called mote. We pretended to be a soldier writing a letter home to someone in our family, Then we recorded ourselves reading our letter.

Caesar The Red Cross Hero

For literacy we having been looking at a very special dog, Who worked in the war as a red cross dog, His name is Caesar. We read an article about Caesar and wrote down important notes and bullet points about him. Then we wrote a summery about Caesar using ideas from the bullet points. We needed to make sure we put it in Chronological order.

Hundertwasser Art.

Hi bloggers a couple weeks ago we were looking at a famous artist his name is Hundertwasser . He uses a lot of colours in his art and uses no straight lines. Our task was to create a piece of art based on Hundertwasser . I put loads of colours into my art and no straight lines, I put some lollipop trees and onion domes in my art.
